When is the Best Time to Visit Aberdare National Park?

Generally viewed as a year-round destination, the mountainous setting of the Aberdares means that mist and rain may occur at any time. The best time to visit Aberdare National Park for a safari is during the drier months of January and February, and between June and September. Heavy rain can be expected between March and May.

Day 1 :

ARRIVAL- NAIROBI

You will be met by our representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to Emory Hotel Nairobi
Overnight at Emory hotel Nairobi.

Day 2 :

ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

After briefing by our company Representative, you will depart for the mountainous Aberdare National Park arriving in time for lunch at the The Ark Lodge. You will check-in at the hotel for overnight at the The Ark Lodge. After lunch you will be transferred by lodge vehicle with an overnight bag to the Lodge. Game viewing is from the lodge balcony. Dinner and overnight at the Chosen Lodge. (Main safari luggage will be stored at the base hotel to be collected on departure) Perfect location for topography enthusiasts - Aberdare National Park is a high altitude national park created to protect the slopes and moorland of the Aberdare Mountains. The park is a perfect location for topography enthusiasts and for viewing Kenya's animals and birds.

Day 3 :

LAKE NAIVASHA

Early morning transfer by lodge vehicle to base hotel where you will have breakfast. After breakfast and collecting your stored luggage depart for the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch at The Sopa Lodge. Rest of the afternoon at leisure or enjoy optional excursions.

Day 4 :

MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

After an early breakfast at the Sopa Lodge Naivasha, we depart for the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Ashnil Lodge Mara. After lunch enjoy a game drive returning to the lodge by late evening.

Day 5 :

MASAI MARA GAME DRIVE

An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast. (Optional Balloon Safari with bubbly bush breakfast-extra charge) Rest of the morning at leisure at the lodge enjoying the lodge facilities. Lunch at the lodge/camp is followed by a game drive.
Overnight at The Mara Ashnil- Masai Mara

Day 6 :

MASAI MARA TO NAIROBI

After breakfast at the camp we embark on our return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the early afternoon, you will be transferred to Jomo- Kenyatta international airport for scheduled international departure flight
